Meadow House

Meadow House is a contemporary family residence that embraces its rural setting while pushing the boundaries of sustainable design. The home features a carefully considered orientation that maximises natural light and passive solar gain, reducing energy consumption throughout the year.

The design draws inspiration from traditional agricultural buildings of the region, reinterpreted through a modern lens. Natural materials—locally sourced timber cladding, handmade brick, and natural stone—root the building in its context while creating warm, tactile interiors.

Large expanses of glazing frame carefully composed views of the surrounding meadowland, blurring the boundary between inside and outside. The landscape design extends the living spaces into the garden, creating a series of outdoor rooms that can be enjoyed throughout the seasons.
